I started Hello Avani because I wanted my work to reflect what matters most to me: care for the earth, respect for communities, and a belief that stories can help people choose better futures.
The name “Avani” means “earth,” and the studio became a way to partner with sustainable brands and nonprofits on films and campaigns that honored that idea.
Through Hello Avani, I’ve been able to experiment, learn, and collaborate closely with clients who care deeply about climate, responsibility, and impact.
The studio was built around respect for land, people, and biodiversity — the same values at the heart of One Tree Planted’s work. This isn’t a pivot; it’s a natural continuation.
That experience made something clear: I don’t just want to support this work from the outside — I want to embed inside a team whose mission I believe in and help shape its storytelling over the long term.
One Tree Planted is doing the kind of work I’ve been pointing my career toward for years: tangible climate action, rooted in reforestation and community, communicated through hopeful stories of change. I’m at a point where I want to commit my energy to one mission, build deep relationships with a team, and help evolve a body of work over time rather than project‑by‑project.
End‑to‑end ownership
Bring my experience running projects from research and scripting to edit and motion into a collaborative, mission‑aligned team.
Focus on craft
Less time juggling studio operations, more time on story development, editing, and motion for one organization whose impact I care about.
Long‑term visual language
Help create a consistent, recognizable storytelling language for your campaigns, project stories, and social channels — and iterate on it over time.
If I join One Tree Planted full time, Hello Avani shifts from being my primary focus to a background for occasional, carefully chosen collaborations that don’t conflict with my responsibilities to your team.

Across my roles — both as a staff editor and through Hello Avani — I’ve supported projects from early concept through final delivery, combining editorial judgment, motion design, and smooth collaboration with remote teams.
Research, creative briefs, treatments, outlines, and scripts that lead with emotional truth.
Storyboards, shot lists, and interview questions that set shoots up for success.
Interviews, b‑roll, music, graphics, and sound design woven into cohesive, moving stories.
Titles, lower thirds, data callouts, and reusable templates that scale with your content calendar.
Re‑cutting masters into platform‑specific versions for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and presentations.
Organized project files, clear versioning, and smooth handoffs built into every project.
Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop as daily drivers.
Remote review tools, async communication, and shared drive workflows.
Experience with Airtable, Monday, and Trello‑style environments for tracking deliverables and timelines.
Optimized workflows for distributed teams and remote file management.
Captions and platform‑optimized exports for every deliverable.
My process is built around clarity, emotional truth, and respect for the communities and ecosystems at the heart of each story.
I learn the project goals, audiences, and on‑the‑ground realities, then identify the most human, hopeful angle for the story.
I develop treatments, outlines, and interview questions that balance emotional arcs with clear educational content and project impact.
I learn the project goals, audiences, and on‑the‑ground realities, then identify the most human, hopeful angle for the story.
I adapt the story for specific platforms — cutting shorter versions, testing hooks, and refining pacing so each piece performs where it lives.
I’m a Texas‑based video editor and producer with over a decade of experience working with brands and organizations on documentaries, digital campaigns, and social content. My work leans toward stories about sustainability, community, and climate solutions.
Along the way, I founded Hello Avani as a way to focus my practice on environmentally conscious storytelling. Building that studio sharpened my skills in creative direction, client management, and end‑to‑end production — but it also made it clear that my best work happens when I’m fully embedded in a mission‑driven team.
That’s why I’m pursuing the Video Editor / Producer role with One Tree Planted: I want to bring everything I’ve learned — craft, process, and purpose — into a long‑term collaboration focused on reforestation and nature‑based solutions.
Thank you for reviewing my application and portfolio. I’d be thrilled to support One Tree Planted’s mission as your next Video Editor / Producer.
